(Pocket-lint) – Snapchat has released an update that finally makes it easier to share your favorite new or old videos with your followers on Snap, even including a handy visual for the clip.

The feature should work on iOS and Android, so no matter what phone you’re using, you should be able to follow the steps below to share videos.

How to Share YouTube Videos on Snapchat

  1. Open your YouTube app and navigate to a video
  2. Tap the share icon below the video
  3. Tap the Snapchat icon
  4. Create your Snap, then hit send to share it

It’s that simple – you can add a small thumbnail of the video you’re sharing, and the widget even includes a link that your friends and followers can tap on if they want to watch the video themselves.

It’ll be really great for sharing new videos, but it’ll probably also be a boon for content creators who want to alert their fans to new uploads on their YouTube channels.
