That’s right – YouTube’s #1 channel continues to dominate the field. It was one of 33 non-Shorts channels included in our latest ranking of the video platform’s most-watched hubs.
During the week of April 10, T-series topped our Global Top 50.
The Indian label has set many records and will soon be the only YouTube channel to reach 200 billion views. For now, the company can celebrate 625.1 million weekly views, which was the highest total among any channel during the second week of April. Even though T-Series has lost 14% of its viewership week over week, no one else can catch it.
The channel closest to the frantic pace of the T-series is Cocomelon – nursery rhymes. The US-based channel is back in second place in the Global Top 50 thanks to a 7% increase in viewership week over week. His 545.7 million weekly views were sufficient to carry the total of its lifespan 126 billion while moving up one place in the chart.
Sony SA is another channel that has managed to increase its position since our last update. The Indian channel, which specializes in comedy shows and provides free access to them on YouTube, added 420.3 million weekly views during our most recent measurement period. This was a slight drop from last week’s total, but Sony SAB has now taken an impressive step by collecting 75 billion lifetime views.
Fourth place in this week’s Global Top 50 goes to Diana show for children. Thanks to the child star born in Ukraine at its center, the channel received 416.6 million weekly views since our last rankings. He also managed to move up one place from his previous ranking.
The last channel in this week’s global top five is Like Nastya. The titular heroine of the family vlog, born in Russia but based in Florida, took her content to 327.7 million weekly views.
Before YouTube Shorts became a big problem on YouTube, Sophia of Kidd Beatz used his YouTube channel to compile his popular TikTok videos. Now she’s found a much more lucrative use for the world’s most popular video platform.
Kidd Beatz is a channel that combines beatboxing with a childlike presentation and bright color palette (and I’m not just talking about Sophia’s blue hair). This formula works great on YouTube Shorts, where many users are kids who love bright colors and punchy noises.
The two most popular KiddBeatz videos on YouTube don’t even have a beatbox. Sophia’s sulky demeanor and love of candy help her connect with young viewers, even though she’s not a junkie herself. When the beatbox appears, it’s mixed with kid-friendly touchstones like Minecraft, Robloxand (say it with me) candy.
During the second week of April, KiddBeatz experienced its best YouTube traffic period. Sophia, accompanied by her companion Roya Destroyarolled up in 138.4 million weekly views. It was good for a 33% increase week over week which pushed KiddBeatz up to 45th place in our Global Top 50.
The bulk of KiddBeatz’s YouTube viewership has been in the past two weeks, so this could be the start of something special for Sophia and co. The Canadian creator also remains active on TikTok.
