This week, if the #1 channel in our Global Top 50 saw its viewership cut in half, it would still be one of the ten most-watched YouTube channels in the world.

The top five channels in the chart are all online video powerhouses. They were the only hubs to surpass 400 million views this week.

Although many channels in this chart are strong, none are in the same stratosphere as T-series.

The Indian label ended a strong month of June by remaining at the top of our Global Top 50. With 631 million weekly views, T-Series has seen a slight increase in traffic since our previous update, and it’s also gotten closer to some notable milestones. Next week, the channel will likely receive its 195 billionth view of all time.

Speaking of channels with a large lifetime audience, only the T-series has more all-time hits than Cocomelon – nursery rhymes, which earned No. 2 in the Global Top 50 this week. US-based Cocomelon, owned by UK-based Moonbug, has cultivated global appeal with its family-friendly entertainment. During our last measurement period, these clips picked up 595.1 million weekly viewswhich was good for a week-over-week increase in traffic from 21%.

The next two channels on our global list are owned and operated by Sony. The Japan-based entertainment giant has found huge success on YouTube with its Indian channels, two of which have become regular entries at the top of our Global Top 50. SET India, which ranked third in our last ranking, reached the top spot before. The 583.8 million weekly views it received this week is not enough for it to return to that top position, although it illustrates the massive size of YouTube’s Indian market.

The sister channel of SET India, Sony SA, also performed well. He was able to improve on the fifth place he achieved last week by picking up 432.9 million weekly views. This propelled it to number four and pushed its lifetime viewership to nearly 80 billion views. Clearly, there is a great appetite for the channel’s comedy shows among South Asian consumers.

Beter Bocuk rounds out this week’s world top five. The Turkish channel added 423.2 million weekly views following several different online video trends. His videos feature a child protagonist and are often featured on YouTube Shorts.

Thanks to creators like Dhar Mann and Paul Vu, morally right content has become one of the most trusted formats for YouTube short film creators. Any video that ends with a bad actor receiving his just desserts can attract viewers around the world and increase in our rankings.

But before this type of content proliferated on documentary-style YouTube channels, it was fiction. movie booa Canadian channel that features in our latest Global Top 50, brings together vast audiences by sharing moments of moral satisfaction that appear in movies and TV shows.

At its heart, Movie Boo is just a channel full of movie clips, but if you look at its most popular videos, a clear trend emerges. Movie Boo got tens of millions of views by celebrating great teachers and sticking it to scammers. These teachers and crooks happen to be fictional – but the morals they uphold are real.

Movie Boo’s most-watched video, viewed over 53 million times, teaches a lesson all its own. I agree that making positive impressions on your first day on the job is important, although I’m not sure if a movie is the best way to convey that advice.

Thanks to videos like this, Movie Boo was able to make its first appearance in the Global Top 50. 173.8 million weekly views put into 46th place in our Global Top 50. Not only is this total good for a 25% increase week over week, but it also pushes Movie Boo to take a big step. The channel has now received a billion views on YouTube. In the context of this chart, that means Movie Boo is just getting started.
