T-series continues to operate at an unprecedented level. The Indian label used a 17% increase week over week to consolidate its advantage in our Global Top 50. In total, T-Series received 724.8 million weekly views; no other YouTube channel even reached 600 million views during this time. Barring a major change, the T-Series will remain at the top of our global rankings for the foreseeable future.

CoComelon – Nursery Rhymes didn’t have as good a week as T-Series, but it was still able to build on the traffic it gained a week ago. The American hub was able to move up one place after recording a 5% increase week over week. In total, it was chained 573.1 million weekly views, most of which were from babies, toddlers and children. No other US-based channel matched this audience.

Last week’s global runner-up didn’t fall far. SET India fell to 3rd place in the world rankings after recovering 509.2 million weekly views. The Big Three – T-Series, CoComelon and SET – have spent the past month trading the top three spots with each other. This time, the official home of an Indian TV channel found itself at the bottom of that triumvirate, although no channel below SET India had more than 500 million weekly views.

LeoNata family finished in fourth place in the Global Top 50 for the second week in a row. It was another strong showing for the all-ages hub, which topped 16 billion lifetime views even though it was only launched a year ago. For the week, LeoNata’s collection of short clips and compilations has been recorded 423.1 million weekly viewsand it is also approaching 12 million subscribers.

Sony SA rounds out this week’s world top five. SET India’s sister channel collected 395.5 million weekly views.

Top Winners

Designers with ties to the southern tip of India are making big moves into our Global Top 50. One of these channels is led by the star of the short form Sangeeth Kumar and his family.

Kumar’s YouTube Shorts clips feature slapstick situations in which family weaknesses lead to stupid repercussions. The titles of these videos often refer Tom and Jerry. The classic cartoon was also invoked by KL Bro Biju Rithvik, another Indian channel that we recently featured in our Top Gainers section. Kumar also mixes in other titles, such as “mobile addiction”, to cover other topics that viewers around the world can relate to.

Kumar and Biju Rithvik have more in common than their shared love for Tom and Jerry. Their video titles are both in Malayalam, a regional language spoken in southern Indian provinces like Kerala. The success of Malayalam content on YouTube is a reminder of India’s epic audience size.

Local platforms thrive in serving the non-English speaking population of Bharat, as does Sangeeth Kumar. For seven days he hung 261.9 million weekly views reach 21st place in the World Top 50. It was good for a 82% increase week over week. The Malayalam speaking family man now has more than three billion lifetime views on Youtube.
