The channel that emerged as the champion of last week’s Global Top 50 rankings only managed to reign a week at the top of the charts.

This week, the most-watched YouTube channel of all time reestablished itself as the most-watched YouTube channel of the week. Further down, several newcomers made themselves known.

Tops

T-series didn’t quite top our Global Top 50 chart on October 17, but seven days later the Indian record label fell ahead of the pack. His arsenal of movies and music videos has earned him 610.9 million weekly views, making it the only channel to cross the half million views mark in our last measurement period. The T-series also got its 205 billionth lifetime view this week.

Cocomelon – nursery rhymes was able to sneak past Series T last week, but the American Family Center is back in more familiar territory in the third full week of October. With 498 million weekly views, Cocomelon is still the most-watched US channel by a fairly wide margin. However, a 19% week-over-week drop in traffic prevented Cocomelon from claiming that title across the globe.

Third place goes to the other channel that I named as a member of the Big Three in this ranking. SET India has eclipsed the T-series in the past, but these days the South Asian TV hub is more likely to finish in third place than anywhere else. He locked his last visit to this post after collecting 472.9 million weekly views.

SET India’s sister channel is hot on its heels. Sony SA, which focuses on comedic content, generally does not rise as high as SET India. This week, however, the least-watched channel was able to retain fourth place in the Global Top 50 after recording 366.7 million weekly views. That’s a lot of laughs in Hindi.

Alan Chikin Chow rounds out this week’s world top five. The US-based comedian, who got his start on TikTok, is the highest ranked YouTube short film creator in this week’s Top 50. His main YouTube channel attracted 318.8 million weekly views.

Top Winners

How many things can you put in your hair? Whatever place you have up there, Simon Boulanger probably has more.

The designer, whose channel sports the Australian flag, is known for his huge afro. While there are plenty of Shorts clips on the Simon Baker channel, the most-watched ones all feature the titular subject’s hair. Baker can use her ‘fro as a memory aid, umbrella and shopping bag, if her popular music videos are to be believed.

Like many abbreviated strings that make it into our Global Top 50, there isn’t much information on Baker’s hub. The comments about his versatile hairstyle are the best proof that Simon Baker is actually the person in these videos.

There’s nothing strange about Baker’s numbers, though. Since launching on YouTube in March 2022, the shaggy creator has garnered over 683.2 million lifetime views. About 183 million of these views occurred during our last measurement period, when Baker grew its audience by 72% week after week and reached 42nd square in our Global Top 50. His most-watched video also topped 70 million views.

Baker gets millions of views just by threatening to cut his ‘do. Imagine what would happen if he shaved for real.
